Busy December week

I had a great week of campaigning. Talking to a variety of people from around the district was great. The word seems the same – Current government is not looking out for its citizens, and people want the government to leave them alone and stop overtaxing us.

I went to Bloomington for the Cities 92.9 event where they were getting Trump and Trump delegate petitions signed. The two hour even went quick, with good conversation, and plenty of conservative support.

The next day I attended a controlled house burn. The El Paso fire department led the way, while Lexington, Secor, and Towanda fire departments were also there for the live training. A great friend of mine's house was the practice house. Note that I am the President of the Benson Fire Protection District.

The Benson Parade and Town Sing was Saturday, December 9th. We were in this parade. The village seemed quite upbeat and festive. Since we were in the parade, I was unable to take pictures of the parade except for some of it when we were staging. Santa was sure at a lot of places lately.

My wife and I went to the Cornell Christmas celebration. In the morning I ate at their pancake and sausage breakfast at the American Legion, and later in the day we participated in the light parade, and met Santa Claus. The food was good, and there was great conversation.

On the way home from Cornell, we went through Dana. They really have a nice set of lighting downtown. I had to stop and take a picture of it. The picture doesn't do it justice, the colors were really beautiful.

Went to see what was going on at the breakfast with Santa Claus held in Washburn today. This event is run by the Women of Washburn. Their organization does many wonderful things in the community and should be supported. There were a lot of children present, with many activities to do, including meeting Santa Claus. Pictured with me is Judy Feazel, who is part of the organization, and is a good friend of my sister (they were also co-workers in nursing).

On Sunday we went to the Women of Wenona Breakfast, with Santa Claus. Santa Claus did a photo bomb in one of the pictures. Pictured with Miss Marshall-Putnam County 2023 Queen Nadia Kessling, and Marshall County Circuit Clerk Gina Noe.
